Peter Allan currently lives in the UK, however Peter has lived in Australia for many years. k3 books liked his work so much we have published book one cover image below. We are working hard to find Peter a publisher for the printed version of his work. Two more books are in the pipeline in this series. Book two is red, Book three gold. The three books we think will look good in a book shop. That's the idea anyway.
Book one is Inspired by sobriety, born from adversity, addictive in nature.These poems are the authors own thoughts
and feelings and were inspired by temperance born from hardships, written from the heart in a time and space destined by a power greater than us all.
Addiction
A sleeping tormentor, a sniggering fiend
Submerged within yourself
Hiding from your view
Going underground
You try to hide from it
You try to look away
You punch above your weight
But you stagger under your own hate
You make a deal and feel it’s real
You stumble and brawl
You slip and fall
Paying homage to the reaper
Dark clouds move in
Feeding your self deceit
Keeping you under the sheet
Random thoughts and obscure views
Expectantly it waits for you
Repulsive factions, compulsive actions
Once again enchanted by its charm,
Can you ever be free of its harm?

Depression
It’s looking for something
It’s looking for someone
You shrink under an invisible force
It comes when you least expect
Against the darkness of the night
You crave for silence but it does not come
You look to the heavens for some respite
Nothing can touch you
No-one can love you
It waits for you, it preys on you
Splitting you open, tearing you in two
It’s rain soaked clothes on a stormy day
Slowing your momentum, heavy on your body
Exhausted and powerless
Tormented and wretched
You cry for help but no one answers
confusion reigns in your mind
Pain and sadness fills your soul
You are slowly coming apart
Losing hope, losing heart
